Our mission is to achieve and sustain a strong reputation for excellence in teaching and learning. The College is dedicated to the delivery of high quality technological education. It aims to produce graduates who have the professional and personal skills to enter employment with confidence, contributing effectively to the Sultanate’s ongoing economic development.
Vision
Nizwa College of Technology intends to become the "College of Choice" for students and for the industry by providing demonstratively high quality teaching, learning, and research that make significant contribution to ongoing national economic development.
Objectives of the Colleges of Technology
The Higher Colleges of Technology and the Colleges of Technology are academic and technological institutions which aim at:
- working towards the application of technological and administrative knowledge in technological and administrative fields in par with the requirements of the labor market;
- meeting the student's needs through social, academic, technological, and vocational development;
- building up a generation of highly competent technicians by providing recognized and high quality technological programs;
- providing the economic sector and other sectors with technically and administratively qualified personnel;
- providing technological and parallel education and training services; and
- conducting scientific and applied research and studies and publishing them for the benefit of the Colleges of Technology and the society.
College Goals
Nizwa College of Technology is an academic and technological institution with eight (8) principal goals.
- We will provide excellent governance, administration and transparency, and act at all times according to strong ethical principles.
- We will offer to all students high quality teaching, learning, and training opportunities in line with the requirements of the market needs.
- We will keep up with modern developments in technology through analysis of market needs in curriculum review processes.

- We will provide excellent student services that support learning in technological education.
- We will provide society with graduates who are equipped with appropriate technological knowledge and personal/professional skills according to international standards.

Our Current Strategy
To work towards realizing our vision, our current Strategic Plan puts emphasis on the core activities of teaching and learning, research and the general student academic experience.
Our Commitment to Quality
NCT puts efforts in improving quality across the College. The NCT Quality Assurance Manual guides the adoption of an Approach, Deploy, Review, and Improve cycle across all College plans, projects, processes and activities.
The Quality Assurance Follow-up Unit of the College supports the implementation of the QAM throughout the College.
